This is a poster design for Florence Adooni’s participation in Metropolis Music Festival, 2023.
I familiarized myself with the artist’s background and their music’s meaning, which I conveyed through symbolism - white dove for Gospel music. The colours I used are inspired by the rhythm and atmosphere, while still keeping away from the cliches surrounding African music’s portrayal.
